Setting Up Your X750 4G Modem/Router

X750 Router Diagram

1. Attach Antennas to the Modem/Router

Screw in the two included 4G antennas into the rear antenna ports.

*Note~ Other compatible 4G antennas with SMA connectors can also be used.

2. Place the Modem in an Optimal Location

Physical objects can obstruct the 4G signal reaching the modem. It is best to place the modem near a window and/or high location. It is recommended to test the modem in multiple locations within a house or building to maximize network performance.

3. Insert SIM Card

If you purchased the modem and selected a single provider at checkout, skip this step. If you received multiple SIM cards, insert one into the SIM card slot accessible via the bottom of the modem.

4. Power Up the Modem/Router

Plug the modem/router into an AC outlet with the included power adapter. It will automatically turn on. The boot up process may take up to 3 minutes.

5. Connect to the Router

Once the 5G and 2G lights turn green, you can connect to the modem via WiFi or ethernet. To connect via ethernet, plug the ethernet cable into the LAN port of the router. To connect via WiFi, search for the SSID of the router and input the WiFi password (both the SSID and password are printed on the modem label).

6. Access the Web Admin Panel

The Web Admin Panel allows you to change the network name, configure VPN settings, and alter other network settings. This step is optional if you purchased a single-SIM package. If you purchased a multi-SIM package, this step is mandatory for configuring the modem/router individually with each SIM card.

Open a web browser and visit http://192.168.8.1. The password for login is printed on the modem label. You will be directed to the following page:

Depending on which SIM card you insert into the modem, follow the procedure listed below:

AT&T SIM

Click on Manual Setup, set the APN to "broadband", make sure "/dev/cdc-wdm1" or "/dev/cdc-wdm" is selected as the device, and click Apply. Wait up to 2 minutes for the modem to connect to the AT&T network.

T-Mobile SIM

Click on Manual Setup, set the APN to "fast.t-mobile.com", make sure "/dev/cdc-wdm1" or "/dev/cdc-wdm" is selected as the device, and click Apply. Wait up to 2 minutes for the modem to connect to the T-Mobile network.

*Note~ If you swap SIM cards in the modem, you must reboot the modem by unplugging it and plugging it back in. To try using a different carrier's service with the modem, simply start from Step 3 again and insert a different SIM card.

7. Run a Speed Test

To determine the quality of your network, please run a speed test by going to speedtest.net. Moving the modem/router to a new location or switching to another carrier (if the multi-SIM package was purchased) may result in higher speeds and network quality. Additionally, external antennas may be used to improve signal strength (view more info on external antennas here).
